Super empty for a Sunday night- but it turns out that we love it that way! One table was leaving as we were seated and another came in just as we were finishing- but otherwise we had the whole dining room to ourselves. The staff was friendly- and very attentive. The food was perfect! We ordered: Meatball sub Pinelli special with shrimp Kids chicken bites Everyone highly recommends everything we ate! I can't even explain how much we enjoyed our dinner. Why the place isn't packed is beyond me!

I have been wanting to try this place since I moved to Olive Branch and realized there was an Italian place near by. My boyfriend & I met for lunch today and finally tried it out. He was a little worried at first but let me tell you I was pretty impressed for a little "hole in the wall" restaurant. I got cheese tortellini with Alfredo sauce and it is some of the best sauce over Olive Garden or Carrabbas any day. Taste pretty close to my home made sauce I make. Wasn't very busy and our waitress was really nice. We will definitely be going back to try more.

Connoisseur that I am of all things Italian and vegetarian, I am always on the lookout for a good sauce. I got the half order marinara spaghetti. It's really not a sauce. Just a bunch of chunky tomatoes over spaghetti. It has a fairly good flavor but not much bite to it as some good marinaras will have. So a very chunky sauce means no sauce on the spaghetti. Which leaves you eating tomatoes with bland spaghetti. I have had a good calzone there but it's too large for one person who is not seeking to overdose on breading. I've always had good servers. But a word to the wise, unless there is a very large crowd of people, don't bother with pizza buffet lunches...anywhere. Owners do not like throwing away pizza. Just a note. In college we used to hit the chains for pizza buffets and I'd eat 20+ slices just for the heck of it. Can't do that anymore. But being weight conscious, I don't do buffets anymore as I have the mindset to always want to "get my monies worth!" Not a good lifestyle decision.

Very good food. We've tried many dishes and enjoy most of them. Get some garlic knots. Floating in grease, but garlic-y and tasty. The staff are friendly and personable. Sometimes they are too busy chatting with each other to notice you need a drink refill, but they also spend a chunk of time chatting with you too. You can tell they love their jobs and their customers. They have "updated" the old Catfish Company building, but it's still greasy and dirty looking. The dusty records on the walls don't help bu make you think they whole place needs to be hosed down.

I have never had an issue with service here, but I generally always go with a large group. The food has always been great. They have some of the best pizza in the area. Make sure you bring quarters for the arcade!

Located in the old catfish company building, it has been updated & plushed out :) The pizza is some of the best I've had from AL to NYC! The deluxe (supreme) is to die for!!!

Went for a quick take-out and ordered calzones for my wife and I. They were very quick in the preparation department but a little below par in the taste category. The calzone was good, not great, and the marinara sauce was just "red", not much taste. I don't plan another trip.

Good lunch menu. Classic Italian-American menu. This location used to be over by Lamar in a power centre but has been renamed and moved out to this one. The build your own Stromboli is my favorite. Reasonable prices and portions.

The pizza were good....had them before due to work function. My son got a sausauge, thick crust and I got a personalized 8 inch pizza. Ingredients were nice and generous amounts. They have a nice choice of toppings, which is always nice. The Italian sausage is sweet and is sliced, which I prefer. The downside - our appetizer came out with out pizzas. Hint - appetizers need to come out some time before the entrees. And the garlic knots were a touch from being burnt, simply inedible and hard. Soon as they were set down I said, "They look a bit done." When I pointed this out to our waiter, nothing. We both got desserts - and more disappointment. The New York cheesecake was frozen in the middle and the chocolate sauce was warm. Interesting how the plates on both desserts were almost hot to the touch. The cannoli - well, Italians would be embarrassed by calling this cannoli - was something different. It was an over-cooked, crunchy pastry roll with what amounted to creamy frosting piped into the ends and a squirt, with chocolate chips, on top. It wasn't full, just in the ends. It was sweet and not horrible tasting, just don't call it cannoli. When paying I told both staff at the register that the garlic knots were burnt, when they asked how everything was, and was met with an, "Oh." And that was it - no comp despite not eating them. Just, "Oh." I agree with a previous poster about the price for the dessert portions was steep, and for subpar desserts. Service was slow, even at a time when only one other table was in the place. Drink refills, the first and only, came right when presenting the check. I guess we will stick with them for carry out pizza as it is close by but that will be it. Pizzas were wonderful, that is all.

Horrible service. Don't know if the good is any good as no one came to take our order.

This is "The Best Kept Secret in Desoto County" for sure - because what you get is a secret. We ordered a pizza and an appetizer. The pizza came before the appetizer and the toppings were not what we had ordered. It was unexpected - and unexpectedly good. I'd go there again just because it's not a chain and the food is decent. It's not over priced but the service could use a slight upgrade.

I must honestly say this is one of the best places to eat at ! I'm not sure who did what but in my opinion my service was 100% perfect I have ate here several times I request the same server every week. Although tonight I had my family and I eating and our sever had a minor asthma attack I caught her a little and told her to sit down about five mins go by and I here her boss yell say get your a** up this is inappropriate! I then informed her that I would say something but she said she was fine that it wasn't the owner and she would discuss it with him ! My server is wonderful and she is awsome I promise if you are willing to try this place the food is to die for and my server is always awsome! I had to share what I felt about this restraunt it is a good place for family and kids but future reference talk to your employee and ask why are they sitting down not yelling at her ! We will return and ask for Lexie every time I assure you ! See you next week Lexie.

Sat down at the restaurant and waited for over one hour and only got my appetizer. Waiter was too busy flirting with the waitress to actually bring my meal.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
